What is Taekwon-Do?
Think of Taekwon-Do as the perfect mix of fitness, skill, and mindset.
It’s fast. It’s powerful. And yes—you will learn how to kick properly (not like in the movies… better).
Originally developed in Korea and formalised by General Choi Hong Hi, ITF Taekwon-Do is known for its dynamic kicks, sharp techniques, and explosive movement.
But it’s not just about looking cool (even though you will).
The ITF system is structured around five key training components:
-
Fundamental Techniques – development of correct mechanics, power, and control
-
Tuls (Patterns) – systematic sequences designed to refine technique, balance, and discipline
-
Sparring – controlled application of techniques to build timing, strategy, and composure
-
Self-Defence – practical skills for real-world situations
-
Breaking – demonstration of power, accuracy, and mental focus
ITF Taekwon-Do is more than just kicking and punching—it is a complete system of self-defence, physical training, and personal development. It focuses on:
-
Explosive power through scientific body movement
-
Precision and technique rather than brute strength
-
Mental discipline and respect
-
Structured progression through belt ranks

Who We Are
The DMND story
At the Diamond Club, the passion for Taekwon-do isnt something you're given. Its something you build every time you step on the floor.
We believe that passion is what drives everything we do. Its in the early sessions, the repetition of techniques, the discipline to keep improving, and the mindset to push past limits.
With Brad's long history and love for martial arts, the diamond club was created to continue his style of training. With high energy expect to hear loud pads, fast drills, and a lot of movement in each session.
Brad is known for his sharp eye for detail and his commitment to each student’s individual progress. Whether the goal is competition, fitness, or personal growth, he focuses on building strong fundamentals while helping students reach their full potential in a supportive and motivating environment.
